Our health evaluation is designed to protect you from dangerous health issues by identifying them as early as possible. Using the smartest medical techniques and proven strategies for prevention and treatment of disease, we care for you as family.

Starting with your past medical, surgical and family history, we compile a detailed analysis of your health status. We spend as much time as necessary to develop an accurate picture of the factors that put your health at risk. We then devise an approach to minimize future problems.

Technology

We employ multiple technologies which combined, offer the promise of finding the earliest sign of disease. Our in-house capabilities make the process easy for you. We image your vascular health, cardiac health and internal organs finding any telltale signs of trouble.

Using ultrasound technology we measure the wall of your carotid artery. This measurement called the, carotid intimal medial thickness, CIMT, is the only recognized test by the American Heart Association for the early detection of vascular disease. The study can be performed year after year providing important trend analysis,
imperative information to manage your health risks.

Through our relationship with Radiology Associates of Richmond, you will have access to state of the art, multi-slice CT and magnetic resonance angiography - together, the most precise cardiac imaging technology in the world.

Located within the most advanced Heart Hospital in central Virginia, we will remain state of the art - ensuring that you never receive less than the best technology medicine has to offer.

When you are done, we will send you away with another piece of technology – the VitalKey – to ensure that your vital medical information is always with you (on your key chain) when you need it.

Your Executive Evaluation Team hails from a multi-specialty practice of cardiology and primary care. Taking a holistic approach to your health, we combine the expertise of our physicians, vascular technicians, nurses and staff to provide you a truly comprehensive and state of the art health evaluation.

You will quickly recognize our commitment to surrounding ourselves with the area’s most respected medical experts. Among our partners is Radiology Associates of Richmond, not only the areas largest and most technologically advanced imaging facility in the region, but also the oldest radiology practice in the U.S.

As active physicians in hospital practice, we maintain and continually enhance our knowledge through routine interaction with our colleagues in other sub-specialties. Your Evaluation Team consists of physicians who are Associate Professors of Clinical Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia and are active teachers.

The Experience

Your day begins as you are met curbside at the Levinson Heart Hospital. You are escorted thorough a private entrance to you doctor’s office. Your evaluation starts with an exhaustive review of your past medical history… 30-45 minutes with your doctor exploring all of the details of your health history and any health concerns you have.

Our staff will gather a myriad of vital information prior to the most thorough physical exam you have likely ever experienced.

Suspicious skin lesions are treated or documented by digital photography. Our vascular lab technician scans the large blood vessels of your neck to identify any sign of cholesterol deposit. An exercise stress test of your heart including ultrasound images of its movements reveals information about blood flow, valvular function, cardiac anatomy and aortic size. Nothing is spared to ensure the quality and thoroughness of your Evaluation.

Your experience can be custom tailored to include colon screening or other CT, MRI or ultrasound imaging as medically indicated or upon your request.

Sample Schedule:

This experience is designed to provide you an extraordinary health screening while treating you as an executive from the time that you schedule your Evaluation until you leave our facility with your health records digitally stored on your key chain.

1 p.m.-3 p.m. imaging (as requested at an additional charge)

1-3 weeks later: A follow-up appointment with your Executive Physician in which you will be provided a bound document detailing the findings from your evaluation and health recommendations for the coming year. In addition, you will receive your VitalKey, a USB thumb drive containing all of your vital medical information and documentation that you may carry on your key chain.

Vital Insights

If you are looking for a health evaluation that spares nothing to identify and address health issues as early as possible, this is likely the program for you.

Having stated that, above all in medicine is the motto "Do no harm." Something that you should be conscious of in reviewing executive health offerings is the tendency of programs to subject clients to screenings and procedures that themselves create more health risks than preventative benefits.

Many programs rely solely on CT imaging. While these studies are very accurate for baseline diagnostics, repeated radiation doses can be a source of concern. With this in mind we incorporate very revealing studies that can be repeated year after year, giving your doctors the best information to practice smart medicine.
